Lindsay and Mason have been friends for pretty much their entire life. They attended pre-school together, where Mason was her unyielding protector. He would fight to the end to protect her book bag from other preschoolers on the prowl! You wouldn't have wanted to mess with his "sister" as he called her back then. How time flies. We hope that they will remain life-long friends.

Hurry, this is a limited offer because we'll only select a few students per high school to participate in our program. Once you're chosen as a Bella Zu Photography Senior Model Rep, your session will take place as soon as possible. Within 2 weeks you'll be able to preview your photographs and we’ll choose images for your Senior Rep cards.

We packed it all up and headed out to the Curlee's to capture some images of their family time together. It was a gorgeous, but really unseasonably HOT day! Their lush yard backed by woods created a really beautiful, natural background. Here are a couple 'sneak peeks' that we couldn't resist! And yes, that is a REAL toad!

WOW!!! So much has happened since I last posted on here. Charity and I(Gail) have opened the studio. Once limited to location photography, we are now a full service studio. We will be working really hard to keep you updated on what's happening and what's to come. We have lots of plans and can't wait to share them with you. The Portrait students were able to photograph an actual wedding for a class assignment. Well, actual couple, actual dress, actual church, fake names and no vows...close enough. Paige and Spencer were a fabulous couple to photograph and so gracious to volunteer. Thanks again you guys!!!

Woohoo!!! I love New York, but thank God I'm home. It's been a crazy couple of weeks.
The second year photography students were able to take a trip to New York for the big Photo Expo. We were able to experience a lot of new things but we also worked really hard. I can't wait to go back on a personal expedition.

Our recent school field trip yielded many spectacular photographs. We went to the PDN Photo Expo in New York this past week. This was definitely an adventure. I feel liked I've worked and 80 hour week.

I was able to see and experience a lot of new things and I'm looking forward to when I can go back on my own "personal adventure."

So....I spent the day helping my sister-in-law decorate Kaitlyn's cake. Her plan is to go to ECU so we went all out. The gold got a little dark but it still turned out fabulous. Thanks "aunt Krista!"

...all about COMMUNITY.

This is my final video assignment for my Multi-media class at RCC. The topic was spontanious community. If you're from the China Grove area, you never ask "where are you going to eat?" You always ask, "Are you going to Gary's?" That was my reason for chosing this place. The great food draws you in, but it's having dinner with all your friends that keeps you coming back. We ate here a lot when my children were growing up, and now revisiting, I see a whole new generation carrying on a tradition. Thanks to all the new folks I met, and to Gary for allowing me to video.

I really enjoyed learning all that I have in this class, even with the heavy workload. I feel better equipped to enter into my desired field of wedding photography.

This is my sons girlfriend, Amanda. I love for her to model for me for school assignments. She's so easy to photograph and always willing to participate. These were taken in the field behind my house. I ran the dropcord from the house to power an Alien Bee 800. Who says you can't take pictures in the dark? I borrowed a Canon 20D from a family member and used my 24-105 F4 L. I'm still without my camera...but not for long.

I spent Sunday afternoon photographing beautiful babies. The mom and child images were shots for my window light assignment. They were taken in front of a glass door with a silver/white reflector for fill. I only did a quick edit on these so that their moms could have a sneak peek.

Vintage Adventure

On Friday, Constance Ulrich and I visited Design Archives in Greensboro for a multi media assignment. This store was way more than what I had expected. It is not only a fun place to buy fun clothing, but it is a designers' haven. The owner, Kit Rodenbough, is amazingly knowledgable of the merchandise she carries. This store is frequented by many movie companies, designer's, and the average college student needing the 70's party outfit. You should all check it out.
